my pc doesn't detect my 6tb hard disk in raid 0, do i need to preinstall any raid driver before installing my os?
im using asus p8z77-m motherboard and last time i installed windows on two hard disk in raid 0 it worked just fine

Personally, I'd put Windows on an SSD like the Samsung 840 EVO 120GB model which is $90 and would be faster and quieter than 3xRAID0. And far, far less likely to fail.

When it worked before were you using the SAME motherboard, and the SAME SATA controller on that motherboard? If not, it's very possible you do need to add a driver during Installation.

yes its the same motherboard, same controller. what i did is just add another hard disk, format it and tried to install windows 7 after reconfiguring the raid type

uhmm... ofc my storage settings is set to RAID. last time i did with two hard disk, theres no problem.
and how to see the raid partitions are visible or not? you mean in bios? yes, i can see it. but when i tried to install windows, the 6 tb partition isnt there. i already preinstalled the driver but windows wont detect it

Do u have data in ur raid 0. If u are not bothered about data then again reset raid partition and initialise new Raid 0.
But if u have data in it. Then Use R studio to recover ur data. When using R Studio u should have windows installed in different drive in normaal IDE mode. Here u will acess ur disk as normal and use the software Raid detect feature and recover ur data in different volume

Sorry i forgot to tell u the important thing that use a pendrive having raid drivers or use the same usb drive if u are installing windows via USB. Then browse driver during installation inside windows insatallation mode and ur drives will be shown. No need to do above method i am telling u.

If it help plaese rate comments. Thanks in advance

yeah, i tried that. sadly windows wont detect my raid disk( 3hdd) after i installed the driver, so i have to go back to two hdd in raid 0. another one is excluded from the array.

For windows 7 and 8 we do not neet to press F6 key, In installation menu where all drives are listed there comes an option choose drivers there we can either search Raid drivers from USB or Hard drive itself and Raid Partition will appear.

That is why I put F6 in quotes. Some still refer to it that way, including Intel, as you can see in the article that I linked to.
