I Got my first gaming computer with a HDD but know i'm thinking of getting an SSD but i'm not sure what to put on it with its limited storage (128-250gb). I hear that installing OS is amazing with an SSD but i already have my OS on my HDD.

A SSD has a faster speed compared to the normal HDD. So installing your windows on it will give you better performance. If you want to install your os on the new sdd make sure that you have the original produck key of your os before installing or use your old product key with the same version of os. watch on youtube how to properly configure ssd for booting. ;)
If the used space on your OS partition will fit on the SSD, you can clone it onto the SSD. I have done that numerous times with Acronis True Image. You do want your OS and programs on the SSD.
You could also load Windows fresh onto the SSD. Even if it is an OEM version, since you are installing it onto the same motherboard it should activate again without difficulty.

I personally feel the best use is for an OS drive but perhaps if you are recording games with something like FRAPS, this SSD will benefit recording FPS (recording a game to disk requires a ton of IO).

In general, the SSD wont make games run faster (aside from loading levels), it just makes programs load faster.

^^ OS is a really good idea (main reason people get ssd's). Also you can put on programs that you use frequently since they usually don't take up massive space. You can also add games that you play frequently if you have room left over so you can lower load times.
