Hello guys! I just took apart my water cooling system as I will be making some changes. It will be disassembled for about 3 weeks. I already drained all the components however there is of course some residual water. Is it needed for me to take the blocks apart and dry them or can I just leave them in the open and let them air dry?

That ought to work, yes.

I don't tend to worry too much about the effect that it has on rubber, since it's just a quick swish and it evaporates, but watch out for its interactions with acrylic.... never try to clean your reservoir with alcohol unless you're going for that particular look.

What if ,before I put my system back together, I heat up some distilled water and flush the blocks and rad with it. Will that get it done? I don't really like the idea of flushing it with alcohol. I read somewhere that the alcohol can degrade the rubber rings on the fittings.
