Hi I have an MD Radeon HD 6800 Series Graphics card and I currently have one monitor through a DVI port and trying to get a second screen through the HDMI. The DVI has a DVI to VGA adapter and the HDMI I am trying to use a HDMI to DVI cable then a DVI to VGA adapter, I cannot seem to get the second one to work, I wanted to know if this should work or not and if now should the displayport with an adapter to VGA work?

Hello Tezza94,

The second monitor may not be working due to the fact that you are using two adapters on the same stretch of wire.

The HD 6800 series has two DVI slots, why not use a DVI to VGA adapter, just like you did with the first monitor?

If the second monitor has HDMI or DVI, just connect without adapters.

Hey thanks I decided to grab my sisters TV and use the one DVI to HDMI cable with nothing else and that worked
