I'm starting to build my first (budget gaming) PC and i was going for the AMD FX 8350 but i want to know if Intel are better for gaming and which would be the best one to get (under £150) and which
motherboard to get for an Intel CPU.

my specs (so far)

Zalman z11 plus case

550W XFX Pro Core Edition 80PLUS Bronze Power Supply

WD - 2TB Desktop SATA Hard Drive - OEM - Green

Sapphire Dual-X Radeon R9 270X

LiteOn IHAS124-04 24x SATA Half Height Internal DVDRW Drive

AMD FX8350 Black Edition 8 Core Processor OR intel something

Windows 8.1 pro

G.SKILL Sniper 8GB

I would like to know if i could change anything and if it could run the current AND upcoming games (battlefield 4,titanfall,watchdogs, games like that)

I would really like some help :)

go down to amd FX 8320, its exactly the same chip as the fx 8350 just simply clocked lower

for a motherboard go with the ASUS M5A99X R2.0 great for overclocking, and to be honest if you won't be overclocking the fx don't buy it

invest the money you will be left with in a better GPU or a SSD

remember that the amd stock heatsink won't get you anywhere with overclocking

If budget dictates you to do so, go on ahead. It is also a good CPU. I was just giving you i7 performance for less than the cost of an i7. The 1230v3 will perform similar to an i7 4770 as it is nothing more than an i7 without the integrated graphics and added features for server hardware support.

That's great! I'd rather go for the unlocked version if you want to overclock in the future.

would that mobo hold i5 4670k?

It should. Google it if you still aren't completely sure but I'm pretty sure the 4xxx series of Intel CPUs use LGA1150.
