3.0 GPU into a PCI Express 2.0 x16 Mobo

I currently have a MSI 760GM-P34 (FX) motherboard with the PCI Express 2.0 x16 connection.

If I get a GTX 660 or any other 3.0 PCI Express card, will it function properly with my MoBo?

PCI Express 3.0 is backward compatible and PCI-E 2.0 is fast enough. I'm also using Radeon HD7870 on a PCI-E motherboard and it works perfectly.
