Bought 2 New Laptops - Question about Memory

I bought the following laptops from Best Buy:

3rd Gen Intel® Core™ i3-3130M processor
Features a 3MB L3 cache and 2.6GHz processor speed.

First of all, I would have bought the same AMD laptop, but they were so I got basically the same one, but with a different CPU and GPU. Both of these come with 4 GB RAM, and are expandable to 8 GB. Here is my question:

I was wondering if I could take the memory out of one of them and put it in the other for a total of 8 GB? Then I will buy 2x4 (8GB) laptop memory to put in the other one, to give both 8 GB total. Here are the RAM specs (from CPU-Z):

4096 MB
PC3-12800 (800 MHz)
Samsung

Will any problems arise if I do this? Also, what type of RAM should I get from Newegg or wherever when I buy 2x4 sticks? Thank you so much in advance!

There wont be any problems since both have the same BUS speed. And even if BUS speeds weren't the same, there would only be slight slowdowns in your system, but you are of course safe from that case.

Some motherboards can even accept RAMs from different types, such as DDR2 + DDR3 combo, so RAM difference doesn't really cause much of a problem.

It should work since most new MOBOs support PC3-12800 and up. I think that if the RAM was faster than the MOBO Maximum RAM speed, the RAM would just slow down.

1 Stick RAM is more recommended than multiple sticks, so its better if you get the G.SKILL stick.

I was refering to where you said take the 2 sticks out of one and put it in the other. Go with 2x4gb sticks vs 1x8gb so you can take advantage of dual channel.

Not sure where you got the idea that single channel is better than dual channel....

Yeah, I didn't think of that actually, Derza has a good point there, but if you are planning on upgrading your RAM later, go with 1 stick so you would have a free slot, if not, then go with 2 sticks as Derza said.

Maybe I'll use the 2 off-brand sticks that came with both laptops in my laptop so I can utilize dual-channel, and let my girlfriend use the 8GB RipJAWs stick. Although I do like name brands more. :(
