I edit this problem, please go to the bottom of the post

mobo: m4a88t-m
(info from the manual: channel A: A1+A2, channel B: B1+B2)
memory 2X 2GB 1333Mhz or 2X 8GB 1600Mhz
i use cpu - z, this are the memory results:
Memory Type DDR3
Memory Size 16 GBytes
Channels Single
Memory Frequency 800.0 MHz (1:4)
CAS# latency (CL) 11.0
RAS# to CAS# delay (tRCD) 11
RAS# Precharge (tRP) 11
Cycle Time (tRAS) 28
Bank Cycle Time (tRC) 39
Command Rate (CR) 2T
Uncore Frequency 1999.9 MHz

so what am i doing wrong? why i am always getting "Single Channel" also on my old memory sticks?
more information:
the pc cant run if i try to connect channel A, so i can only use channel b, and the memory cards cant be connected in any other way, can i do something about it?

ok so i described my problem incorrectly, the actually problem is that i can only connect ,my memory sticks (i got 4, all of them will work alone or as 2 single channel memorys) in channel B slots 1 or 2, but if i connect any of them to channel A the pc wont boot, how can 2 memory slots stop working? i know they used to work.

Solution
Memory controller is in the CPU, if you have access to another mobo or similar computer could try your CPU in that mobo and see if dual works and try the CPU from that PC in yours to see if the problem is your mobo
Go into BIOS and set optimized defaults and then set up the memory speed and timings correctly.

Looking at asus web site, maybe your board only handles 8GB max. So 2 x 4GB sticks might work correctly in dual channel.

What is the model of the memory kit? And CPU?

I didn't find optimized defaults, i know how it meant to look but i didn't find that option on my bios,
the memory speed and timing are on auto, should i change it? to what? what are the correct ones?
my board maybe wont be able to run 2X8gb in dual, but it also cant run 2X2gb in dual, although it should.
my old memory and new ones are kingston, both times i bought the 2 sticks together and they meant to work in dual by what the seller said, but its not a kit.
my cpu is AMD: Phenom II x4 Quad Core 955 Socket AM3 3.2Ghz

Edited:

According to the manual, your MB only supports up 4GB in a slot.

Install the older two sticks in the first 2 slots next to the CPU. Then boot into BIOS and set the DRAM Frequency to 1333MHz. Then make sure the Memory Over Voltage is set to 1.5volts. See if that works.

Can try the 2 slots further from the CPU also.

bios is updated, one month ago, slots near the cpu are both black, representing dual channel, only the far one from the cpu is working, the one representing channel B, the slots representing channel A doe's not work at all, only the 2nd and the 4th from the cpu, representing channel B are working, all my memory sticks will work on them, but this will work on single channel, so now i am running a stable pc with 16Gb single channel (8GBX2), i belive my pc worked before about 4 month on dual channel slots 3+4 (the two slots far from the cpu) but now 3 isn't working, also tested F5 and save and exit (Factory Defaults), didn't help.

to spooky2th: i try to set the volts but i cant boot my pc with any type of memory stick on 1 or 3 slots (channel A) seams like this two slots are not working and if i connect one of them, then the pc wont boot, i have to connect my sticks only to slot 2 or 4, or both, only in that why my pc will boot, but this is single channel (channel B) so no wonder slots 2+4 are single channel, the wonder is that 1 or 3 does not work.

so i went into bios, set it up, and shut the pc down, then i try to connect the memory and boot the pc, but it will boot only if i will not connect any memory stick to the channel A slots (1 and 3 from the cpu).

Hello dear Tradesman1,
i want to merry you!
i know, i am a male, and this is wired, but i really don't care!
i love you! i never loved someone as i love you right now! i hope this felling will last for ever!!!
at start i didn't know how to read what you wrote, i was confused, i looked at it, again and again, then i opened my case, and there it was, my mother board, holding my cpu, and inside there is the MC, the MC you talked about,
i took my hand and i touched it, it felt right to shack it, then i shacked it hard, i then felt weird inside, i felt right! for the first time of my life, i felt right!!!
then i moved my memory sticks to A1 and B1, i closed my case, boot the pc, and now you can see for yourself, this is what happend:
Memory Type DDR3
Memory Size 16 GBytes
Channels Dual, (Unganged)

now the only thing left to do in my life is to love you for the rest of my life!
i know we are far, but we are one! this is love!
