Hey I just put together a build for a good friend of mine and the graphics card seems to not be receiving any power. I bought all of the items as a Newegg bundle so all of these items are compatible. Everything else is getting power: CPU, fans, disk drive, HDD, just not the graphics card. I sent back the first one and received a replacement which also did not kick on. Help!

Solution

Take out the gpu clean the PCI connector and put it back in.

If you are sure that the 6 / 8 pin(s) are properly connected, and you can't find any indication that the cables are dmg'd in anyway. Then my guess best would be that the problem lies in the psu. If you have different psu available, then i suggest that you try using that one instead. See if that...
