Moving win2008 r2 server to RAID

I recently got myself a proper RAID controller (Areca 1882) for my home server (Windows Server 2008 R2), I am however not sure how to transfer my OS disk to my new RAID5 array, or even if I should?

I was originally planning to partition my raid array and do a mirror of the old system disk to it, but since my RAID is GPT and my old system disk is MBR, this operation fails.

Is it possible (or maybe even preferred?) to partition the RAID from the controller, and then have this new partition set up as MBR to allow my system disk to mirror it?

Essently, I need a way to safely move my server to a separate partition on my new raid. (I can rebuild my raid if requried, not data is stored on it yet)

I have the following hardware available:
- Areca 1882i RAID controller
- 4x 2TB disk (clean disks, can be wiped. Currently set up as RAID5)
--------
- 2x 300MB disks (1 for the server OS, the other one is full)
- 1x 1TB disk (backup data, can be wiped)
- 1x 3TB disk (full, cannot be wiped unless I put the data someplace else, planning to include this in the raid5 array)

Had to create a separate raid array with some other disks as GPT require an UEFI motherboard. Will be mirroring the old system disk onto those, and using system backup (bare metal recovery) as a fail-safe.
