USB Keyboard Flickering Frequently and Internet Disconnect/Reduced Issues

I purchased a computer about 6 months ago and with it a Logitech G105 Back-lit Gaming Keyboard that connects via USB. The problem is that over the past couple of months the keyboard has been flickering. What I mean by this is that the back-lighting turns on and off and the sound made when you connect a USB device is played, it only lasts a second but sometimes it will do it a couple times in a row. It does seem to happen mainly when I move the keyboard/touch it. Meaning I can sit and watch a movie for hours with no issue, but if I slightly moved the slider tray they keyboard was on it would flicker. And sometimes when returning from AFK after a few seconds/minutes brushing it will cause it to do this. For the life of me I cannot figure out why this is happening. I have tried changing which USB port I use (from the back to the front), and have also moved the cord to ensure it isn't getting tugged by anything. I've also checked my device manager for any alerts under the USB section and it's clear.

While the flickering is annoying enough, at this point when it does it about 50% of the time it will disconnect me from the whatever games I am playing and/or from Ventrillo (a program used for speaking to other people over the net). I noticed the other day when it does this the connection icon on my task bar had a little yellow warning on it that says something like "Reduced Connection" or "Partial Connection". Can anyone give me any ideas as to why a keyboard flicker would cause me internet issues or perhaps some insight as to whether this is a USB issue or a defective peripheral. Any tips or advice would be appreciated.

I would simply bring it back to where I got it but it's a massive tower and I live on the top floor of my apartment with no elevator, needless to say I'm a little nervous I'll drop it on the way down so I'm trying to investigate the issue myself first.

Potentially Helpful Info:
Internet via Ethernet Connection
Windows 8.1
Intel Core i5-3570 CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.80 GHz
8GB RAM
64 bit OS
Desktop Computer
6+ USB Ports

P.S. I've considered disabling the "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" from the USB hubs but I'm unsure is that would be wise. Thoughts?

Sorry for the essay and thanks to anyone who can lend a hand.

Sounds like the usb cable of your keyboard is faulty. If you got the keyboard with your pc it should still have guarantee and you can RMA it. I had a problem like that with a mouse and fixed that by swithing the usb cable to a new one (it had ran out of guarantee so used a cable from a old cheap mouse).

Edit. If you have a secondary keyboard you can use that to test if your kb is the cause of all the trouble.
