Here is my build: http://nz.pcpartpicker.com/user/Canning/saved/4pMU

I have connected all the components in the case, and have turned on the computer, yet the computer does not start up. The fan on the PSU does not even turn on either.

I have taken out the PSU from the case and have connected some wire in the motherboard connector and turned the PSU on and the fan does work. So I am pretty sure the PSU is working.

What could be wrong? Also, if the PSU is connected to the motherboard, and the PSU is turned on, should the PSU fan turn on? Currently, it does not.

Thanks in advance

Make sure the 8 pin connector at the top of the motherboard is fully plugged in, also of course make sure the 24 pin is properly inserted as well

OK, the computer is now turning on. We will now connect each of the components on the motherboard.

Some PSU's don't run the fan unless under some sort of load. Make sure to do as Brantyn Gerik said up above.

OK, both the 8 pin and the 24 pin connector are connected. The fan does not turn on...
