When my pc is in idle condition it starts lagging as my HD7750 clock minimizes to 300mhz any solution?

When i am away from keyboard(idle) my pc starts lagging i cant watch a movie because it starts lagging and frames drops down. But when i move cursor it comes to 800mhz clock again and do good performance any solution for that afk or idle problem?
I have
Dual Core 2020 3rd Gen
6GB Corsair Ram DDR3
HD7750 1GB DDR3
Motherboard- Asus PH61-lx3 plus

Yes there is a solution, as i had a very similar problem with my 7950.


The easiest solution is to install msi afterburner.


After, create 2 custom profiles.


Basically you want to create a "3d profile" for full speed card usage and a "2d profile" for power saving and cool running.


For the 2d profile start at the low power settings you card goes into normally and slowly increase core...

For the 2d profile start at the low power settings you card goes into normally and slowly increase core speed until the lag goes away. You want enough performance to keep the lag away, and also low enough that you have a silent running cool card while it is in 2d mode.

I suggest you start at 400mhz core see if that fixes the lag while in 2d mode. Bump it up 50mhz at a time till the lag goes away.
