my pc is running slow

This started few days ago . I was FARCRY 3 ALL the sudden it started lagging so i saved the game and closed it . WHEN I CHECKED my pc everything was running slow even games like halo 1 and every application is running slow .

I tried registry clean up , scanned for viruses , spyware etc ...... NOTHING!!!

it's still slow and lagging

HELP!!!

What i do when I run into a problem like that is back up and reinstall Windows. Sometimes you will spend more time looking for an answer to a problem than just starting over. I reinstall windows every 6 months needed or not things just run so much better on a fresh install and it only takes a couple of hours max

THANKS BUT... I CANNOT reinstall windows because my cd drive isn't working I ONLY USE USB FLASH DRIVE
SO i cannot USE my windows CD.


I TRIED DEFRAG STILL NOTHING

WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM?
