Hi,
So, i've spent the last 20 hours working on this build, here is what i have (components):
Sapphire Tri-X 4g.
I7 - 4820k (lga socket 2011)
Asus p9x79
4x4 ddr3 ripjaws
850w RM850 (corsair) psu.
WD 3 tb hdd
asus 120gb ssd.
However, when i turn on the power at the psu switch, the LED for power on the boards turns on, however, when i try and boot it, i get no beeping, no led flashing (or any LED doing anything), no fan spin, no display, nothing (it looks as if i hadn't even pressed the power on/off).
Here is what i have tried:
1) Flashed BIOS (twice)
2) Checked pins on CPU socket.
3) Rewired everything (multiple times)
4) booting with/without gpu.
5) checked plug and connections.
6) checked switch for turning on/off (perhaps the switch did not turn it on, but it's wired in properly into the right slot.
7) tried mothorboard outside of case if instance of shorting or obstruction (breadboarding)
Note: i do not have another motherboard or PSU i can use to test if one is working or not.
and, i am absolutely out of ideas on what could be wrong. i have checked and google for quite some time now but i had not yet come across a thread relevant to this (i suppose i could have missed it my accident, but i doubt it considering i've been searching for a least a couple hours now).
