There might be a problem of the GPU , but you have mentioned the Fan Speeds increase , which might be a problem also with your Motherboard or CPU.
I had the same problems with a 9500GT and E2140 and it turned out that the motherboard was not functioning correctly.

so what you are saying is that if i got a new mother board the problem would be solved? when i was thinking about what the problem might could have been i remembered that i had done some cable manegment in it could this problem be because that some cables might not have been plugged in all the way?

Yeah you should check that your card's power connectors , and all the wiring on the motherboard is done correctly.
It may solve the problem if the problem is minor.
You see we cannot say anything for now , the problem can be looked by at from different angles , maybe your power supply has a problem ( But I don't think it will have as you mention the music plays for quite sometime after the black screen) , It might be the problem of the card , You should plug the card out and check your PC , and how it runs on VGA and if it still goes black? and If it doesn't go black , then still it might not be a problem with the card, the problem might be your PSU , does your PSU support the card wattage , is it a good PSU? It can also be a problem of the Motherboard , we cant say anything right now , Please first do a test run without the GPU.
Check all the cables , Clean the dust off the board , plug the RAM out and then in , do a good analysis , and make your observations , you might narrow down on one part which would have a possible fault.
