Which GPU to choose?

Hello there,
I have some questions about these two cards:

1. Raden R7 265 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202096
2. Radeon 7870 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131563

The 7870 is 20$ cheaper but is it better?
The R7 has 200 Mhz higher memory clock (1400 mhz) , and has directX 11.2 support, and 7870 has 1200 Mhz memory clock, and doesn't have directX 11.2 support only 11.1 .
Which one is better to choose? Which one will last me longer?

The 7870 is better. However, Powercolor is the low end of quality GPUs whereas Sapphire is solid. If you get the Powercolor I'd leave it at stock and don't overclock. I doubt it cools well or is quiet once overclocked.

Ok thanks, but which one to choose the 7870 or R7 265 ? Which one will be better in upcoming games? In the future will 7870 support directx 11.2 ?

Yeah, that 750TI is an excellent GPU for the price. If you can, try for a R9 270.

that's a tough one. The 7870 is a really good GPU. That 750ti is going to be more reliable than the Powercolor...but luck of the draw is in play too. Let's hope other people start commenting.

Hey !
You shouldn't be choosing an AMD card brother , I do not mean that they are not good cards , they are actually better priced and run games pretty well..but the problem is PhysX is the future of games and other than that nVidia's newest technologies as TXAA and FXAA are being inculcated in games , these are the features that AMD does not support , AMD are cards for PhotoEditing and stuff , games are MEANT TO BE PLAYED BY nVidia..
If your budget can grow , get the GTX 760 by Gigabyte or better MSi , even EVGA.

powercolor is an avg brand, i have read mixed reviews about it. If i am at ur place i will not get any one of those, i will get this one

After rebate its the same price as powercolor 7870 and it has a very good rating on newegg. Performance wise 660 is similar to a 7870.

Yeah Performance wise it's similar , but 7870 does not support PhysX ( Not a big deal to some people ).
I my country (Pakistan) I can get the 660 for 22000/- (By Gigabyte ) The HD 7870 for 30000/-.
I would go for GTX 660.

Performance wise both are some what similar , however R9 270X beats GTX 660 by a small margin.
G3D Mark Score of the 660 is 4126 on average and the 270X has 4236 on Average.
in Games the 660 scored 7.9/10 and 270X 8.0/10.
There is also a price factor , I don't know of your country but if the 270x is cheaper , go for it , and if the 660 is cheaper, go for the the 660.
However it should be kept in mind that AMD doesn't support TXAA , FXAA , PhysX and various other technologies , which are now a days frequently being inculcated in games , so for example BF3 or BF4 whihc make use of the PhysX engine , will look much much better on the GTX 660 than on 270X.
So I personally suggest that you go for the GTX 660.

Here is a good 660 and comes with free game..Watch Dogs. If you don't want the game sell it and bring down the cost. Many people do this.

I'd Recommend a 750ti, As they are easily able to overclock (well, aren't all cards

) but, Nvidia's got G-Sync, TXAA, PHYS-X and many more, AMD's got Mantle, And a few more... It depends on what you want. The 750ti, Should support DX11.2, Though. You need windows 8.1 for DX11.2

I would not recommend GTX 750 Ti , Because 660 beats it by a large margin , If so interested to have a GTX 700'se card , get the 760.
