Help 0xc00007b Windows 8.1 application error

Hi, ever since I did the update for windows 8.1 from windows 8 I found a problem for not all but most of the games I have. The error is 0xc00007b: 'The application was unable to start correctly. Click OK to close the application'.

I have tried many things:
-reinstall direct X
-reinstall visual c++
-reinstall common redists
-used ccleaner
-reinstall games

Nothing seems to work and if anyone can come up with an answer I will be so grateful.

Have you tried running checkdisk? Press Windows key + x and press on Command Prompt (admin) with your mouse. On the command prompt type chkdsk c: /f , it will say the volume cannot be unmounted and asks if you want to perform the check on next system boot press Y. During next reboot it will check your hd for errors and try to fix any problems.

I have done the sfc /scannow on cmd. Is that the same?

sfc /scannow checks system files chkdsk checks the whole disk and filesystem.
