Hello,
I got a new Seagate spinpoint M9T 2TB notebook drive and am trying to install it on my G73JH. Currently the two drives I have in the system are:
Kingston SN425S2128GB as the OS boot drive and software drive with a
Western Digital Blue WD10JPVT 1TB drive a secondary storage
They have been working fine for a year plus.
I want to swap the WD 1TB for the Seagate 2TB. Once installed the BIOS will not recognize the Seagate 2TB unless I change the SATA mode from AHCI to IDE. I would do this reluctantly to get it to work but when the SATA mode is in IDE windows won't boot and flashes blue screen (BSOD) and promptly reboots.
Please help me to get both drives to work. Is there a way I can get the Seagate drive to work with AHCI (preferable) or a way I can get the SSD to boot into windows when using IDE (less ideal solution)?
Any help would be much appreciated!!!
