I don't have a ASUS Mobo but i want to update my GPU BIOS so it supports boot from UEFI.

http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?32907-ASUS-UEFI-vBIOS-tool-for-Radeon-7000-series-cards!-It-s-Here!

"Other motherboards might work with our UEFI graphics cards but we cannot officially endorse compatibility as we don't have access to all BIOS and board revisions. The software checks if your motherboard is compatible."

Because of this they will not take the risk of non-working GPU's

Is there any way to force the BIOS update? I have a

And my mobo is a Gigabyte GA-Z87-HD3 rev1.1

Yes there is, i was talking about the vBIOS as linked in the article. With that vBIOS update it will support booting GPU from UEFI, instead of Legacy. This is required for Windows 8 Fast Boot and other UEFI features to work correctly.

It should work as my Mobo is a Z87 chipset which is from the 8 series chipset

"- All Intel 7 Series
- Upcoming Intel 8 Series"

Obviously you have not even read those links.

The motherboard is already a UEFI bios and should support Windows 8 fastboot. He wants to flash his videocard BIOS to EUFI support so it can also use Windows 8 fastboot.

I don't see any purpose. The speed difference is minimal.
