My windows 7 laptop Acer Aspire 5733Z got really slow because it had a pirated coy of Win7. I bought a genuine one and reinstalled Win7 deleting all partitions and re formatting the drive. It worked perfectly after the install and I installed most of the latest drivers. Now after about two days, it boots very slowly.
The acer splash screen shows up fast, but once it enters the starting Window animation, it takes about 15 mins to get past that. The a black screen(no desktop) with a cursor I can move shows up. I lhave left it at this screen for about 2 hours and sometimes it boots fully sometimes it doesnt. I opened the laptop an cleared out dust from the connectors, etc. Please help.
Also, Im new to these forums, is this the right section?
