Hey, I have an Acer Aspire TC 105 EB 11 desktop. It has windows 8.1 in it, Specs, AMD A10 6700 3.7ghz, 8 gb ram, 1 TB hard disk space. I disabled the on board video before installing the video card. The graphics card is radeon hd 7770 diamond. When I put the display cable into it, it is not displaying and not detecting hardware

no, the fan is perfectly running, and the GPU's fan is running. I put the 6 pin connector into it.
The problem is that the display port is not displaying the GPU on the screen.
Ca you please suggest a solution?

Why did you disable the onboard graphic if im not mistakeing you can crossfire the 7770 with the APU (Apu/discrete).

Also did you install the 7770 drivers BEFORE disabling the onboard. I still recommend looking into APU crossfire unless your cpu is bottle necking if you dont get better fps then you can always revert back.

To solve your problem right now and get to fixing the problem you should be able to use save mode for a start.

Just to let you know, my PSU is 600w corsair cx series. There's no problem with that. But I will try to install the drivers while on board video is enabled. But, when I install the drivers from the CD, where should the VGA or DVI cable be connected to? The graphics card slot, or the on board one?

On this question above, you said install the drivers. Which one are you talking about? Install the drivers for the on board graphics or the new radeon hd 7770?
by the way, I only have one x16 PCI E slot.

The issue may be anywhere, sometimes computers are nuts, if it's a driver issue, it gets ironed out, drivers for everything!

Do you have a spare graphics card? Try another GPU to see if the PciE x16 slot is working. Also, try the 7770 on a friend's setup, to see if the card is actually working.

Something may be defective.

No, I meant when I install the radeon hd 7770 drivers from the CD that came with it, which display port should the adapter be in? The VGA on the new graphics card or the VGA on my on board video slot?

When installing drivers for the 7770, plug the Display port into the onboard GPU, after installing the drivers and seating the new GPU, connect the monitor to the GPU.

Just to be sure, select video as PCIe x16 in BIOS.

Hello miththen I had EXACTLY the same problem EXACTLY! I also have a 600 watt psu from corsair. After I bought it I did seriously EVERYTHING possible! Including what you just tried now. So after I couldn't do anything I got a replacement and the new GPU worked.

So in short: In my opinion the GPU is dead get an R.M.A. Get the card replaced as soon as possible if you can.

thanks guys, really appreciate trying to help me. I guess the only option is replacing the GPU. can you tell me what R.M.A is and how do you select video as PCIe x16 in BIOS?
If you can, try to send me some suggestions of graphics cards under $200 budget that will be compatible with Acer aspire TC 105?
Thnx

If I understand your post you are saying to install the ATI drivers BEFORE installing the board. How would one do that? Seriously, it always fails the detection.
