Hey Guys,

So I have a WiFi card that I can't put in my motherboard because of my graphics card in slot 1 covers both, I was just wondering if it hurts or is bad in any way to put my video card into slot 2 so that i can use my wifi card?

Motherboard: Asrock Z87M-Extreme4 Intel Z87 Haswell LGA1150
Video Card: Gigabyte GV-N770OC-4GD GeForce GTX770 Overclocked 4GB GDDR5 PCI-E3.0
WiFi Card: TP-Link TL-WDN4800 450Mbps Wireless N Dual Band PCI Express Adapter

Thanks

Solution
Yes, it will be slightly slower, and won't get as much cooling.

You should be able to put the WiFi card in the fourth slot, though. PCIe x1 cards fit fine in PCIe x16 slots.
