I've decided that i want to move away from console gaming and make the jump to PC/Laptop gaming. However, i am a total novice when it comes to building them and knowing what parts i need etc, and i don't want to throw a load of money towards something i'm not sure will work/be sufficient.

As i'm on the move a fair amount i'd prefer a laptop which is capable of 'gaming', the likes of DayZ, Minecraft, CoD, Battlefield etc.

I've found what looks like a fairly decent website which you can configure your own laptop - would it be possible for one of you more like minded people to have a glance over it and check whether it is sufficient? 'http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/notebooks/optimusV-13/ '

i've also made a second option

'http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/notebooks/vortexIV-LE/'.

Sorry to be a pain, but i hope someone out there can help. Thanks!

Change these things in the Optimus V 13,3" pc's standard specs:

Processor -> i7-4710MQ
Memory -> 8GB Kingston SODIMM 1600mhz
Hard disk -> 750GB WD SCORPIO BLUE
msata SSD drive -> 64GB Plextor
Therman paste -> Arctic MX-4 EXTRME

should end up at £790 and would be a decent gaming pc, though the screen is a bit small.

going for a laptop means that your performance will suffer quite a bit to get that small form factor for mobility. So if you want as much performance as possible for your money, you should get a desktop. :)
