Hello Guys,

I was thinking about making a new gaming pc.
My older specs were:
AMD anthlon X2 270u
ATI radeon HD 5450 2GB
GigaByte 78-LMT-s2
and 450Watt power supply
and Benq 1440*900 75Hz

I am thinking about:
ati Radeon HD 7770
i5- 3.1GHz 3450

I want to ask you that:
1. Do I need new power supply and/or motherboard and which one.
2. How much performance increase can I expect, I was having
Assassin's creed Black Flag: 18-22fps 800*600 ultra low
far cry 3: 30-32fps 800*600 ultra low
skyrim: 20fps 1280*1024 low
3, also and better recommendations about GPU and CPU

Thank you very Much :)

Solution
1. You will probably need a new PSU and mobo. The motherboard is due to the socket change, (AMD CPU's don't work on Intel-based motherboards) and the PSU is probably not as reliable as other options out there. Is there any way you could get me the specifications of your PSU? It's make and model?

2. With a 7770 and the i5, you could probably set yourself at above 60 frames per second if you're playing at the lowest settings. You could probably play medium at a stable 45 or so. (both games at 900p)

3. Depending on your budget, the i5 4670K and 750ti are suitable, but the leverage between the CPU and GPU is not good. The GPU should usually be more expensive than the CPU. Some recommendations I would make would to get the AMD FX6300, get...

You won't need a new power supply. You need a new motherboard because your older one is for AMD CPU socket.
I recommend Intel Core-i5 4570 Haswell 3.2 GHz CPU and GTX 750 Ti. Similar prices but newer devices and better performance. You can average 40 FPS at ultra on 1080p on AC4 with that GPU and CPU combo.

Some recommendations I would make would to get the AMD FX6300, get a CPU cooler and overclock it, then put the saved money into a better GPU. Instead of a 750ti, you could get something better. Maybe a 660ti or possibly a 760?

It depends on your budget. You give me your budget and I'll send you a list of parts.
