Bridge two 5ghz routers

My aim :
1. Connect one Belkin n600 dual band to act as main access point running on only 5ghz (to avoid microwave syndrome).

2. Set up another Belkin n600 in my room on only 5ghz and bridge it with the main.

3. Connect laptop to the Belkin in my room via ethernet and torrent 24/7 without disturbances from any microwave ovens which go off several times a day.

Is such a setup possible? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Should work, but why not just get a 5GHz-capable USB NIC instead of the (far more expensive) router? Or even put the laptop next to the main router or move that nearer your room.

Also, microwaves wiping out WiFi is a sign that the shielding is failing and they need to be replaced.

"Or even put the laptop next to the main router or move that nearer your room"

None of that is viable, main is too far and would look too ugly to move it from its place. Thanks for the suggestion though. My main reason to get another router setup in my room is to take advantage of its ethernet ports. So I could hook up my laptop, ps3 and avr to it via ethernet and all these devices would enjoy a disturbance free network.

Also thanks for your concern for my de-shielded microwave. Surprisingly it is a fairly new Black & Decker, I don't see how it could break through its new shield so quickly. I'm quite sure it isn't a defect. I suppose that the main router being about 10 feet away from it would be the reason why the signal interrupts.

Well that does sound like the smart thing to do, to run a cable directly into my room. But then the wire and the holes and the ehhh. Although that would be absolutely disturbance proof. I guess wireless is the only way to go on this one. But are you absolutely sure that bridging two 5ghz routers with wds would be advisable. No problems whatsoever? Since I shall be torrenting 24/7 on them.
