First time computer build questions

Hi guys, so his is my first computer build and I have some questions
1. So when I buy the CPU (i5-4670k), does it come with the thermo paste or do I have to buy it separately?
2. I heard something about some video cards need power from the PSU to work, and in order to do that you need to connect a cable(s) from the video card to the PSU. I wonder if the cable comes with my video card (MSI GTX 750TI) or do I have to buy it separately?
3. If I do need to connect the cable from the video card to the PSU, is my GTX 750TI
compatible with my PSU (CORSAIR CX series CX600)? (I'm planning on upgrading later so I will buy the 600 watt one)
Sorry for these stupid questions this is the first time I ever build a computer (with my friend) and so I dont really know what to expect.

Solution
New CPUs all have thermal past on them.

Most video cards, at least the high-end cards, will need supplemental power from what they can get from the PCI-e bus (the edge connector). This is usually one or possibly two 6-pin power cables, and the cables come from the PSU, not the video card. You can't buy they separately, although you can buy adapters that convert a standard molex power connector to a 6-pin connector.

It has been standard for many years for PSUs to have at least one, it not multiple 6-pin cables for video cards. Unless you are going to use a very old PSU or somehow purchase an obsolete one, I would not worry. The Corsair you have linked to has two of them, if you check out the Specifications tab:

It's also listed further down the Specifications tab, under Features, Connectors, "2 x PCI-E"

The gtx 750 ti doesn't need any power cable. What were you planning to upgrade to in the future? For this is the cx 600watt a bit to much.

For the same money as a gtx 750 ti might you get a better card.Where are you buying? Or at least which country.

The cpu are you going to use in combination with a Z87 motherboard i hope? Do you want to overclock?

Oh ok thanks for the answer guys! You two were lots of help
@Vic40 I'm planning to upgrade to at least a GTX 760 or better video card and I am buying this from newegg in America. Yes I am buying the CPU i5-4670k for the Z87 motherboard and I don't really know if I will overclock, maybe a few times.

For the same money as a gtx 750 ti could you get the next which is better,
http://pcpartpicker.com/mr/newegg/powercolor-video-card-ax78702gbd52dhv5eoc
for this would the cx 600watt be good. You probably would be able to play games at high or higher settings and the upgrade to a gtx 760 wouldn/t be necessary for a while and probably not necessary at all.
By the time that this gpu wouldn't be good anymore could you probably go for a newer series.

Looking at your questions and answers am i not sure if you understand what overclocking means, but go for it.Read a lot about it and learn.

Oh thanks Vic I'll sure take a look at the 7870, thanks for the advice. It's probably true that by the time I upgrade, there will be use for a new video card other than the 760.
Yeah I don't really have much experience with overclocking, since the desktop I use now isn't more of a brick. I will read about overclocking and learn more about it.

Also is ColorPower a trusted brand? From some forums I saw that they are the lower brands. I don't want to buy a video card with lower end quality build and high temperatures

It's in the end down to the card. Most user reviews on newegg are positive and there's is a warranty period of two years in which, from what i see in you answers, will you've upgraded already.
With the overclocking make sure that you want it before buying.A non overclockable cpu is cheaper and will run your system fine,a motherboard for such a cpu would also be cheaper.
The r9 270 linked is an nice card, but performs about equal as the hd 7870 and isn't worth the extra money imo.

(sorry i don't know how to add the person's name to the quote but this is by Vic 40)
Well the link Pondering gave me to Neweggbusiness with the MSI R9 270X has a 15% off deal, in which settles it for a ~$26.99 away from the $179.99 and that gives the 270X a $152.99 deal. So should I just go for this deal intead of the powercolor HD 7870 because the 270X is cheaper and has a bit of extra perfomance than the 7870?

You click the "reply to" button in the bottom of the post you want to quote. ;)

Don't know if newegg business will sell to regular customers so be sure that's the case.If you could get that card for that price would i also go for the r9 270X
