I have a budget of about £500 to £550, and im stuck on what CPU to get. Im planning on building this PC as a gaming PC, I want performance over quality of gaming, but dont want full preformance, i may change my mind on what graphics levels to play on certain games. (Mainly League of Legends).

These are the parts i have chosen:

Gigabyte H87M-HD3 Motherboard (Socket 1150, H87 Express, DDR3, S-ATA 600, Micro ATX, Haswell.

Corsair Builder Series CX 430 Watt ATX/EPS 80 PLUS Bronze Power

Samsung (SH-224DB) DVD Re-Writer SATA 24x

Corsair CMV8GX3M1A1333C9 Value Select 8GB (1x8GB) DDR3 1333 Mhz

Asus Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 DirectCU II OC 2GB GDDR5 Graphics Card

Seagate ST1000DM003 Barracuda 1TB 3.5 inch Hard Drive

Fractal Design Core 1000 Series Micro ATX Case

Do i buy I-5, or I-3? I have done some research, but it mainly comes down to price, because the I-3 is much cheaper than I-5, and would suit my budget alot more, but is it worth saving money?

I would go the amd route. The FX-8350 priced at $200 competes with the i7 3770k. If you are short on cash you can get a FX-8320(same as 8350 just slightly slower) and overclock it. I would take either of thoose amd cpus over a i5/i3 any day of the week. Also, upgrade that psu. It is a little low on wattage.

I agree. But i am worried about the PSU not being enough. Even with a low consumption CPU you would be pushing it. A 760 has a recommended PSU of at least 500.
Problem is i would not recommend going lower than a 760 as there is a significant difference between it and a 750 Ti. Either save up a bit more for a 550 or a very solid 500 PSU or get and AMD card like a 270 or 270X and use the money saved to get a better PSU.
