So, I finished building a new pc a few days ago and everything works great except for the Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller, my network adapter. I can connect to the internet using a USB wireless adapter but the Ethernet port will not work at all. I've tried three different drivers and I currently have the latest one installed, but it always gives me the same device status in the Device Manger Properties:
This device cannot start. (Code 10)

{Operation Failed}
The requested operation was unsuccessful.

I've even tried flashing my motherboard BIOS, which is also the latest version. I'm using Windows 8 and an ASUS M5A78L-M LX Plus Motherboard with an FX 6300 cpu.

I just tried booting in safe mode with networking and I got the same result. Yes, the driver is from Realtek's website.
