I am running a Quad AMD A6-3620 APU 2.50GHz and a AMD HD5450 Graphics card with 8Gb RAM on Windows 7. While using Corel VideoStudio Pro X6, the Video tends to be very slow and stutters. Assuming the Processor is powerful enough this only leaves the Graphics card as not being powerful enough. What Graphics card can I fit that will give me improved performance - or any other suggestions please
Cheers Chris

Solution
It might be a good idea to watch the cpu load on the task manager, when editing videos first. Sorry to say it, but the A6 is more on the budget side of CPUs.

Hi, many thanks for that and I appreciate what you say re the A6 processor - I have done as you suggested and the task manager shows the processor running at between 25 and 33 per cent when the video is stuttering. Unfortunately this does not mean a thing to me and whether it can be altered to improve matters.
I am looking at systems which have either a Intel I5 -4440 processor or AMD A8 5500. Would either of these be a solution or should I be looking at a better graphics card.
I am not sure if it is the processor or the Graphics card responsible for the video stuttering.

Do you see the load on all four cores or is it only one core at 100% and the other on 10 or 20%? Corel VideoStudio should run on all cores. If it does, a load of 33% means, there is another bottleneck, but most likely not the graphics card. It might be a slow disk for example.

Again many thanks, but I really am lost - I will be changing my system to one that has an AMD A10 Quad core and separate Graphics card - I am told this should provide better results
