I am trying to build a relatively high performance gaming PC in an HTPC case. I own an silverstone gd05. I ordered a EVGA Geforce GTX 780 Classified off amazon.ca. When it arrived we attempted to build the PC and the card was 5.25 inches tall, while all the specs i found on the internet listed it as 4.376 inches tall. My issue is that i would like to stick with a 780 GPU but i do not want to have to change cases. Will any other versions of the 780 fit in my case? are the dimensions listed for the other cards accurate? HELP!!

No chance. It's far too tall and long. A case I recommend for a HTPC rig is the Fractal Design Node 605. That will swallow your 780.
