It's a decent start but the Sabertooth is way too expensive for what you get, and you definitely do *NOT* want a Corsair CX for that rig, they're known for shoddy capacitors and generally poor build quality. You also don't have an SSD either which is an absolute must have for a build of $1500 or more. You should also definitely get a better case - on a build of $1500 or more pairing it with a case that's less than $50 really makes the whole thing look cheap.

Do something like this:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($209.99 @ Amazon)
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-U9B SE2 37.9 CFM CPU Cooler ($44.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: ASRock Z87 Extreme6 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($143.49 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2133 Memory ($79.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB 2.5" Solid State Disk ($88.98 @ Newegg)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($54.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 780 3GB Superclocked ACX Video Card ($499.99 @ NCIX US)
Case: Corsair 400R ATX Mid Tower Case ($79.99 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: SeaSonic 750W 80+ Gold Certified ATX Power Supply ($113.98 @ Newegg)
Optical Drive: Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer ($23.52 @ NCIX US)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 - 64-bit (OEM) (64-bit) ($94.99 @ Best Buy)
Total: $1422.90

A little bit more but way better case, CPU cooler, and PSU, added an SSD, ditched the really expensive motherboard for one that's $100 less and still gets the job done.

Get the Lite On DVD burner instead of the Asus (I have had horrendous experiences with Asus burners) but other than that, it looks good to me! I say go for it!
