I have an ADSL router connected to my phone line and I have it connected to a second router for use in other rooms. This router is getting tired now, I have found a WAN capable router online. Will my 1 ethernet cable coming from my ADSL router connect to a WAN router if I was to get one? Also the ADSL router hosts the DNS and the DHCP. Any help will be appriciated.

Most ADSL routers allow you to put them in bridge mode or modem only mode. You can then run an ethernet cable from the LAN port the modem to the WAN port of the router.

Then you can use the router for DNS and DHCP.

You would also set the router as just an access point but it would be both easier and better to do it the way listed above for your purposes.
If you need any suggestions on a decent router just let me know.
