Possible cpu bottlenecking

Hey guys,

I'm gonna pick up a gtx 780 pretty soon here, but I think my processor is gonna be a problem. I currently have an fx6100, and I know for sure that without overclocking, my cpu will bottleneck the gpu. But suppose I overclocked this processor to around 4.2-4.5 ghz, would it still bottleneck with the 780?

  1. you will have bottleneck even if overclocked.will you be playing at 1080p.? if yes then consider getting an 770 or even 760, will be a better pair.!
  2. Okay, I assumed it'd be a problem no matter how far I pushed the clock on that processor. I think I'm gonna move to an i5-3570k. Would I experience any bottlenecking issues with that processor?
