I recently posted on reddit's hardware swap subreddit, and had a guy offer to trade my $200 case for an MSI GTX 770 Lightning. I looked up some of the specs, and its VERY similar to the EVGA GeForce GTX 770 that I've been planning on getting for my build. My question is this, what exactly is the difference in the companies that make them? Is one better than the other? Which card is better? And keep in mind that the 770 lightning is most likely used.

More about : evga msi

The lightning cards from MSi are more for enthusiast overclocking. The EVGA card will be fine.

Well I do plan on overclocking, however, I would be getting the MSI card for WAY less than I'd have to buy the EVGA card for.

Both companies are great.
If it is not very heavily used, I'd say get it. It's a great card. And it's preoverclocked.
