Hello, I'm going to be constructing a new gaming rig at the beginning of the summer because I am sick and tired of dealing with overheating problems on my HP laptop and would like a major performance upgrade. I already own a mouse and headset, but need a monitor and keyboard. I am relatively new, but have several friends who have built custom pc's. I am not pro nvidia/amd for gpu's (or Amd/intel for cpu's). I would like cooling and performance to be a major focus, but noise and aesthetics to be kept in mind (no ugly colored parts please. Any and all of the parts could be changed, but i have a budget of $1600 (plus or minus $50-ish). I would like to play games like Battlefield 4, Rust, and other resource demanding games on a monitor with at least 120Hz refresh rate. I am also open to personal opinions experiences with any of the parts. As for the case, I would like to have a mid tower.
(side note: I am a beginner at this, but I am familiar with computers and and their parts.)
