Graphical artifacts on brand new card?

So I recently bought a Radeon HD 7750 (this one: http://www.amazon.com/XFX-DisplayPort-PCI-Express-FX775AZNP4-FX-775A-ZNP4/dp/B007Z3T5JC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1398556204&sr=8-1&keywords=radeon+HD+7750+xfx)

I occasionally get artifacts in almost every game I play. They aren't as severe as I've seen in some videos on YouTube, and what they look like seems to vary from game to game, but the most common ones are these little checkered squares that are either white or the same color as whatever is on the screen.

These artifacts don't seem to have much to do with the card's heat, because they happen in-game and even (very rarely) while I'm just browsing the internet. I'm starting to wonder if I'll just have to buy a new card, because I've heard that artifacts are a sign that the card is dying. I've only had the card for a month or two and it's been doing this pretty much since I got it. Here are my computer's specs:

ASUS M5A78M-LX plus motherboard
AMD FX6300 6 core cpu
Two 4gb HyperX Blue memory
Corsair CX430 psu
Rosewill FBM-01 case
Windows 7 Professional 64bit

I use SpeedFan and HWMonitor to check temps. Both say the card idles at about 45C and in game it goes up to around 75 or 80C in a particularly intensive game, 60-70C in less intense ones.

It could be the psu, but my card is supposed to be a lower power consumption one. AMD site says it needs at least a 400W but that seems kind of overstated.

Hello again,

the temps seem fine imo.

This card does have really low power consumption but the CX version of Corsair PSUs are a bit on the low quality side. If you have a way to swap your PSU with a friend or something just to give it a try it would rule out a possible PSU fault.

Meanwhile you could try reinstalling the drivers for your GPU as it's the least you can do and it's free :) But try it this way:

1. Download and install http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/display_driver_uninstaller_download.html
2. Go into Windows Safe mode and then start the program above and uninstall everything related to AMD or nVidia you might have.
3. Restart your PC and download and install the latest drivers from AMD.

Worth a try :)
