What are you using this rig for? If you are just gaming on a single monitor, everything is overkill. For a single monitor, you will not benefit from anything more than a GTX 770. I recommend the i5-4670k, CM Hyper 212 EVO CPU cooler, and an EVGA GTX 770 w/ACX cooler for gaming and overclocking. If you are video editing on a single monitor, replace the previous list with an i7-4770k. If you already have and/or bought the GTX 780Ti, then pair it up with the i5 for gaming, i7-4770k for gaming/light-medium video editing, and i7-4930k only for dedicated video editing and/or gaming at 4k resolutions on multiple monitors. I will also recommend selling the 780Ti and getting money back if you are only using between 1-3 monitors.

Get the i7. Always get the best you can within reason and within your budget. This guy doesn't know what he's talking about. I have a gtx 780 super clocked with an i5 3570. For the most part its fine but any game that is cpu hungry like arma 3 would absolutely benefit from a better cpu with more cores. There are plenty of games my rig wont play at acceptable frame rates with AA or even without. I'm going to get another 780 in sli and pair those up with a better cpu and it will be completely worth it for now and for the foreseeable future.
Its been my experience that gpu's get better with time and driver updates. I used two 8800gts 512 cards in sli until the gtx 480s came out and had little problems playing most games maxed except for AA until I switched.
I try to only do major upgrades when direct x changes or when I absolutely need some new tech.

sabertooth z77
i5 3570k
8gb 1600 11 11 11 28 Could also have some better ram but this came free with something.
GTX 780 superclocked 3gb My galaxy gtx 670 4gb wasn't that much of a step back from the 780. I bet two of those in sli would have been fine and more stable at least for right now until the 780s get some driver updates. That was stupid on my part.
120gb ssd and a 500gb hd
benQ 27" 1920x1080 3d gaming monitor. 3d is another reason for a better gpu and cpu.
