Hey guys I'm looking for a new monitor. I have had the syncmaster 2494hs for 4 years and it has been awesome. I always thought the colors looked sweet and only just found out it was a TN panel. I spend most the time on my computer playing video games like DayZ and games that generally look quite nice. The 2494hs has a 5ms response time and is 60hz and I never noticed anything wrong or ghosting so if you could recommend something like those specs that are IPS or VA. Also I'm in Aus so anything from America I can't buy because the shipping is to much.

Also I always have vsync on because I dont like having a high FPS and then a deep drop that is noticable.

Thanks.

Hey there, Im also from australia and would actually recommend saving a LOT more money for a better monitor (400 bucks or so). Look at pccasegear.com.au cause they've got rly cheap prices. But it depends if you want a big monitor, gsync (do you have nvidia?) , 144/120hz or even a higher resolution (what are your pc specs?). Personally I would recommend the ASUS VG248QE but thats just my opinion.

Hey mate, I dont really want a 120hz monitor because that is sacrificing colour for (in my opinion) unnesaccery gaming grade stuff. I'm not a pro gamer although I am generally the MVP on my team. I really just want a nice looking ips monitor that is 5ms gtg.
Also my specs:
gtx 580
i7 930 @ 2.8ghz
8gb Corsair veng
650w psu

The VG248QE is not an option if you want something with color accuracy and image quality. It's a superb gaming monitor but not if you want something with superior image quality.

What you want is the ASUS PA248Q http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008DWH00K which is an IPS panel monitor with great color accuracy and overall image quality.

The PB238Q is a great option as well but I'm not sure how much it is there either.

But you just wanted 1080p, right? Cause in that case the Samsung LS24C65KBW is a good one. http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_i...
