I have/had a TV that no longer works. (It fell over and now turns on and off randomly after i turn it on) but anyway. I tore i apart from sheer boredom and removed the LED screen panel think, which works fine. I was wondering if theres a way i could hook it up so that its just a screen? Like none of the tv stuff, just like a HDMI cable then thru a image processor or something into the tv?

The screen works because it turns on when i turn the tv on, but then goes blank for a bit b4 the tv turns off again.

Dealing with that stuff is pointless. Unless you're a super wize with electronics its pretty much impossible to do anything with just the LCD. You need a working driver board. If its turning off all the time it could just be bad Capacitors on the power/driver board. They would look like this

As long as you replace them with the same Voltage and F unit's and you are ok with soildering you can try that. I've fixed a few TV's that way.

And how are you sure that the LCD works?

I know for laptops and regular monitors, there are lcd controllers that will work for just about every display as long as it has the right connection. But I'm not sure if tvs would be any different. The controller boards that you'll find may have multiple connections so just take a look at what connection your display uses. Or really just google the display model number that's on the lcd (not the tv model.)
