I decided to replace my aging power supply today. Bought a thermaltake smart power 850 watt psu and hooked it up. When i powered on the fans started spinning very slow but nothing came on the monitor, then several seconds later i thought i smelled fried electronics so i unplugged the psu and it seemed like the smell came from the psu. But like an idiot i thought meh, was probably just the new psu warming up so i tried to startup again. Same thing except this time i could definitely smell burning electronics. So i returned the psu and bought a corsair hx 850w. Hooked it up and the computer boots to windows fine but no usb devices work in any port and the LAN doesnt work nor do the led lights above the LAN port.

When i boot it says there are 2 hubs detected just 0 connected devices. Ive tried resetting via cmos battery, ive unplugged everything except mobo cpu and vid card, and ive even reseated all components, no luck. Did the faulty thermaltake psu fry my usb and lan controller?

Specs:
Asus Z87 sabertooth
4770k
2x gtx 770s
2x 4gb corsair dominator ram
2x sata hdd 1x sata cd drive

just a thought are these USB ports on the motherboard or on fly leads to the expansion slots. it could be that the cables have been knocked.

I guess it the ones on the motherboard though...
Also as you have reset the BIOS check and make sure the USB settings in the BIOS as they may have disabled USB2/3 or disabled Legacy USB for the Keyboard and Mouse.
