Hi guys,

http://www.amazon.co.uk/AOC-E2250SWDAK-Widescreen-Multi...

is a monitor I am thinking of getting due to it's price and integrated speakers. However I am stuck on one thing. I want to get a HDMI>DVI connector to connect this to my PC(so i can also use the same lead to connect my PS3 to the monitor).

I am aware that this lead will not transmit audio so my question is can i use the audio jack lead that comes with the monitor and connect that to my PC for audio, while simultaneously using the HDMI>DVI connector for the video. I do not know if this seems like a weird question but for some reason I feel like I read somewhere that doing this would not be possible as you cannot you digital video and analogue audio? Some clarification would be great!

Here is the HDMI>DVI lead : http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000GDI6FC/ref=ox_sc...

You can set PS3 to do multi audio out and get an rca to 3.5mm cable, connect the 3.5mm to your pc line in, and then connect the line out to the speakers.

You can not bring digital audio into your computer because that is an output port and not an input port. You can get a sound card that has a toslink optical in, but at that point you might as well just get a monitor with hdmi input.

Like boosted1g said, I'd suggest getting a monitor with an HDMI output as it would make it a lot easier.
