I'm currently using a AMD A10-6800K Quad Core APU (4.4GHz) with intergrated radeon hd 8760d and i'm looking to upgrade to a seperate gpu but i have no idea which to choose could use some help.

Solution
With an A10-6800k and a budget of £100-£150, you can pretty much go for an Sapphire R9 270X Dual-X BOOST 2GB GDDR5. It's a decent mid-high end video that can help with your A10-6800k.

GCN Architecture to support Mantle is with the 270X, you'll have your money worth to put into this card. ;)

Well, it depends on what you want to do with it? (Video editing, gaming or just normal usage)
Do you plan on running it SLI or Crossfire it with another card some time down the road? (Depends on your Mobo capabilities)
And finally what is your budget like?
Answer these questions and maybe we can give you more input though. Cheers!

My friend uses an APU and he bought a GTX 660, the're pretty cheap and if you can pick up a Zotac 660 AMP! you'll be set for a while, the 660 alone can out power some AMD 270X's and their $100-$200 CAD more in my area. Granted if you want longer upgrade I think a 760 would suffice as well. Your options are pretty open if the Radeon HD 8760D was basically paired to match a GTX 640. Think about if you'll use what each side offers before you pick one though if you want to use DX encoding or CUDA (Nvidia does DX too but still), and remember that not all PhysX supported games support GPU PhysX.

If you're referring to its PSU requirement, you can get a 500W PSU for that. :) You can check LinusTechTips in Youtube about the card's performance if that's what you're asking.

I had that card before I upgraded to an R9 290X. Games like Bioshock Infinite and Battlefield 4 got around 50-60FPS.

So what power supply would you suggest getting to go along with the R9 270?
With my specs plus the 270 it comes to a recommended psu of 550w so a good 650w should keep me safe right?

(assuming your talking about PSUs) All depends on your case and setup, some cases have a plate that the PSU attaches from and is then slid from the outside in, some unscrew from the outside and need to be maneuvered from the inside out (these two are mostly top mounted), some have enough space to just be unscrewed and lifted straight out (those tend to be the bottom-mounted ones). As for cables it varies from person to person and how the last one was installed and/or how your going to cable manage the new one.
