I was trying to install windows live essentials onto my computer running Windows 7 Professional. I tried both the 2011 and 2012 versions of the program. However, every time it finishes downloading and installing, a windows pops up telling me that it couldn't install the specified programs (Mail and Movie Maker) because another program is preventing it from working (Error Code:0x80070643). The only problem with this is that I have disabled all antivirus (Kaspersky AntiVirus) and Windows Firewall itself. I will not disable all startup programs because some of them are for my CPU and motherboard to work properly. I did disable some though, and it has not done anything. Windows is not of any help because they just say to uninstall my antivirus and install Windows Security Essentials which I do not want. Help for this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

After a few hours of trying to get a different program to work, I found out that the installer needs special permissions for the %temp% file. After that was done, it installed just fine.

Type %temp% into search with windows 8 or 7 then right click in any blank spot of the folder and click "Properties." Go to the "Security" tab of the smaller new window that opens. You will see each user on the PC including Admins and the System itself. Click "Edit". Then for each user, allow ful control by checking the box there. Let me know if this works for you too. This has helped with many of the problems I have had dealing with installer permissions on my computer.
