Hi.

So recently I noticed a repeted clicking sound during my computers startup. The sound seems like a computer fan is hitting something while it spins and at first I thought that that was what was causing it, but after further inspection I found out that the sound is coming from the little speaker from inside the computer that beeps error messages. Now, I know that there are several different messages that the speaker is able to produce depending on the error, but these 'clicks' are not beeps like the ones usually used to report an issue. At first I thought that the little speaker was broken, but I dismissed that option when it beeped once normally at the startup, after that I checked the cables if they somehow slipped of the motherboard but everything seems fine.

The computer runs and works just fine and I haven't noticed any issue other than the clicking at the startup and even that stops when the computer loads windows and is not constant during startup, but starts, clicks a couple of times and then stops.

If any of you have had a similar issue before and know a way to solve it, I would greatly appreaciate any help or advice.

There's no reason why the mobo speaker should click only for a few seconds during boot time, it's more likely to be a fan on initial spin-up till it gets up to speed. The fan inside the PSU often get overlooked. mine makes a fair din for the first 10 seconds, I keep threatening to change the PSU but never seem to get round to it because well, it works.
