Multiple Partitions of Main disk drive

I'm planning to dual boot my system to run Ubuntu 14.04 LTS alongside Windows 8.1. When I went into the disk management application to shrink my main hard drive, I saw that there were already 5 partitions, i.e., 2 recovery partitions, 1 EFI system partition, the main C:/ drive partition(Boot, Page File, Crash Dump, Primary Partition), and D:/ Recovery drive (OEM Partition). I have read online that it is not safe to partition a disk beyond 4 partitions, as it will convert the disk into a dynamic disk. Is this true? And also, will getting rid of the 2 recovery partitions using diskpart cause any system problems?

If you delete the recovery partitions you won't be able to restore your system if you ever need to. Otherwise it wouldn't hurt anything else, but I wouldn't mess with any of the other partitions.
Also keep in mind that to install Ubuntu you will need to create two more partitions, one / partition and one for swap.
In general, I think it isn't the smartest thing to do under the circumstances. If you are set on it though I would do it through wubi installer, so you can get rid of it easier if something goes wrong. But before you begin be ready for the worst...
