Hi guys!
I have experienced some strange boot-ups that my PC does after a overclock. It basically turns on by itself, usually at night or 1 hour after I turned it off, and it brings mé a black screen saying: "All settings were reset to default values. The previous overclock settings have failed, system have been restored to it's default settings"
I think this is weird because I can use my PC for 10 days without this shows up, and it never crashes, it just boots. It doesn't happen very often, in 2 months, it have happened like 10-15 times, so it's not a every day issue, but it still annoys me!
I've set my base clock to 45 x 99.98V, CPU core voltage to 1.3500V, CPU I/O voltage to AUTO, system agent voltage to 1.0000V, CPU PLL voltage is set to 1.6000V,

My system specs:

Cooler Master HAF X -
MSI Z77 Mpower -
Intel Core I7 3770K @ 4.5 GHz -
2 x Gigabyte Windforce GTX 770 4GB -
Kingston HyperX 2400Mhz 16GB -
Cooler Master M2 -
Intel SSD 530 Series 120GB - Samsung SSD 840 PROseries 256GB
Seagate Barracuda 1TB -
Asus Xonar Essence STX -
Swiftech H320

Thanks guys!

EDIT: I have just torture tested my CPU for 30 min using Prime95, and everything works just fine!

from what you're describing, it sounds like the overclock is unstable and the motherboard's BIOS is reverting the changes to defaults although the CPU voltage seems rather high for 4.5GHz. another cause may be a corrupt or malfunctioning BIOS (the random booting).

you can try reverting to default settings to check if the random booting still occurs, if it does then it seems like it's a BIOS issue, if it doesn't, then your overclock is most likely unstable and you should re-test it to make sure.

Thanks, I'll try it out. I have set the voltage so high because I thought the CPU was under volted.
