I have these very thin very light vertical lines that appear to be moving when I look at my monitor up close, is that normal? its more noticeable on darker colors. I just switched from an LCD tv to a monitor so I never noticed it before. I cant notice it unless im like a foot away from my screen. otherwise everything looks perfect

the lines are whatever color is underneath it I guess... so whether its a dark blue or a darker grey, it almost looks like its moving. its hard for me to get a screenshot. I did a print screen but when I looked at it on my iphone the lines weren't there. its like I can almost see the power or the frequency of the monitor in motion, underneath what its displaying... only very very slightly? the monitor is brand new, its an aoc I2757FH

What operating system are you using? Are you plugging into a power-outlet with a ground? Perhaps it has to do with the monitor's natural refresh rate in relationsto your graphics acceleration?

Honestly it looks pretty normal to me, but an iPhone picture might not be doing any justice here. Try experimenting (safely) with different Monitor Refresh Rates via Display in Win 7. See if the lines appear.

Check the connection between the computer and the monitor, make sure everything is snug. Perhaps try a different connection. Try to narrow down what's causing it, if anything is.

Could be true, everyone's eyes are different too. My brain can't render 3D (3D Glasses), and if it can't do that, what else can't or can it do to effect me visually? Sometimes it's a mystery, sometimes it's fixable. If it gets worse, come back and we can think of another possible solution.
