It seems that my motherboard has finally died out (4 years of hardcore service, I don't blame it!). Currently I run an i7-3770k CPU, so the big question for me at the mo is whether to upgrade the Motherboard and CPU to the 1150 socket range OR just upgrade the board and wait until the next big upgrade needs to be done. From what I can tell you don't see much difference from 3rd Gen to 4th Gen unless getting into heavy overclocking which I would have been interested in once upon a time, but with less time spent at my home PC I don't think I would benefit.
What do you guys recommend? Upgrade to 1150 or stick with 1155?
