How the softwares store in a computer?

When we switch off a desktop PC what happens to the data??
Is all the files store in HDD or somewhere else ...What is the use of Memory (RAM) What is the role of CPU ?
How the signals of keyboard and mouse reaches the CPU or where it goes?
What is machine language ??
How it gets converted ....to ??
I want a specific answers ...To the point .??

  4. Yeah almost forgot about library....I had a membership card but never used it because I can find all my answers easily on the internet ...it is like a sea of information more things is present here and not in library.
